Free editing for free fiction?

SO HERE'S THE DEAL: I GOT A JOBTHING. It's freelance editing for a company starting up to help independent authors make their book the best it can be and then promote the hell out of it, and I will be one of three on-staff editors. The promote the hell out of this company post is coming some time soon (it opens the 15th) so please feel free to throw me places you think it would fit if you can think of anywhere.

The thing is, I'd really like to have examples of my work. And since I haven't done anything published, I was going to put a few examples on my blog that I can link to. But for that I need examples, and right now the only person whose work I have ready access to shove up there is [personal profile] sharpeningthebones -- I would like it if I could have more than one person. This would be FOR FREE but also PUT UP FOR FREE PERUSAL, so you probably want to avoid things that you plan on trying to sell places. Things that are already up on personal blogs/websites are fine by me.

I would be:
*Editing the story to the specifications we work out: either proofread/indepth line-edit, a last pass over something you've already got to mostly finished standards, OR if you feel really courageous and want it, I can do a critique of either a short story or first chapter of something.
*Posting the unedited, edit-commentary, and possibly finished version you do with my edits on my professional blog for people to see my work.
*Crediting you for the work and linking to your website/blog/whatever you choose, so you may get traffic from people who come my way to see how I am as an editor?

I'm MAINLY looking for something in the 5k-10k realm if possible? I have a few shorts but I'd like to show my work on something longer. I will also consider poking at shorter things. I'm only looking for two, maybe three things to go over as samples.

Any help, be it offers or signalboosting, is very welcome. If you don't want to poke me in a comment, because I'm leaving them unscreened for now, you can either PM this journal, or email me at letmebeasong@gmail.com

EDIT: I have had a couple of people throw options at me already, because you all are amazing. That said, if you still want to throw things at me in case one of those don't work out, that's good too. (If you write YA, queer-themed/generally diverse fiction, or sci-fi/fantasy -- in about that order, because of what I currently am prodding at, or any combination as well -- then please, PLEASE do poke me.)

(And okay now that the important, professional-esque part is out of the way. Guys people are theoretically going to pay me to edit things. I'm still not entirely sure how that happened. I still need a day job but... this is a really good thing.)

I could see if I have something longer lying around? Most of my fiction lately tends to be shorts (...and everything longer being academic writing).

I don't, unfortunately. All I have are shorts, since the long thing isn't anywhere near done.
