Dear Yuletide writer,

First of all, I apologize for the lateness. Somehow I got it in my head that the assignments went out around the 25th? I have no idea what happened then and I am REALLY REALLY sorry. Because of my fail, I totally and completely understand if nothing in my letter ends up in your story, and I don't really expect anything specific anyway. HOWEVER, if you're trying to find some inspiration, hopefully I can give you some!

General Likes and Dislikes
This is more or less word-for-word from my last exchange fest letter because... well, it was about two months ago and not much has changed.

Let's start with things I don't want, it will be shorter: I'm not really a fan of graphic sex or PWP smut; graphic descriptions of blood and gore; humiliation/embarrassment played for humor.

Now for the other side! Please don't feel restricted by this list. I would honestly love to see just about anything, so if your muse takes you somewhere I didn't mention, seriously, ANYTHING but the above three notes is awesome. But if you need some ideas:

Chosen families/close friendships are my favorite trope in anything ever, so something about that is always awesome. I love gen, but as far as romance goes, any kind of relationships -- up to, including and especially stable threesome/moresome/poly relationships -- are good with me too. Non-binary-gender characters fill my heart with glee. So does any kind of magic, be it a fantastical kind or a realistic Wiccan/Witch kind. Fantasy/sci-fi/post-apocalyptic themes make up the bulk of my reading, but I'm also plenty happy with things that don't fall under those categories. Obviously some fandoms lean better towards those last two than others, but I also love AUs of just about any kind, so that's always an option.

Fried Green Tomatoes (1991)
Characters: Idgie Threadgoode, Ruth Jamison

The only thing I really have to say here is that I ship it. I ship it so hard, I can't even say. So I'd prefer no terrible awful things happening to make them hate each other.... But hell, if you go that way I'll probably still love it as I sob. So have fun.

Very optional ideas: I'd love to see them being mothers to their son, or anything about the daily life of running the cafe. I have wanted fic where Idgie is an aspect of some kind of trickster god/archetype for ages, so uh, if you want to play with that, PLEASE DO. But again, this is optional, just throwing things out to maybe spark some ideas.

Practical Magic (1998)
Characters: All

This is one of my absolute favorite movies of all time, and it's the combination of the way they handle the magic and the amazing depth to the familial relationships that bring me back to it again and again. I cannot count how many times I've watched it, and there is not a character I don't love. If you've read the book and want to weave in some details from that as well, go for it, especially when it comes to the younger daughters, who aren't really developed in the film. If you haven't, or don't, pure movie canon is amazing.

I really have no ideas here; I just really want more fic, especially about the Owens women specifically. So go nuts?

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Characters: All

Another of my favorite movies of all time. I love the town of Halloween, I love all its residents, and I love the idea of all the various other holiday lands. I don't remember what the tagged characters were, but honestly, I don't care who it ends up being about. If you want someone to wander off into a different holiday land/another holiday figure to wander in, have fun with that. If you want to focus solely on the Halloween citizens, that works for me too! I just want more fic for this movie to exist.

My only real suggestion/request here is if you want to play with anything from the extended opening/closing narration from the CD, please do -- the closing in particular is one of my favorite things about this movie, even if it's not ACTUALLY in the movie. They're both on youtube if you haven't heard them: Closing; Opening.

Follow Me Down - Seanan McGuire
Characters: The Lady of Springtime, The King Who Is Buried in Winter

This song hits me in so many ways. I want to know everything about these two. I want to know who they are, how they met, what they are to each other, what they are in general.... I just love the images and ideas in this song. So please, do anything you want with them. Take whatever aspects and imagery interest you and run with it. There is nothing you can do off this song that won't make me glee.

The Way - Fastball
Characters: All

Aaand this song hits me in very different ways. It's haunted me for years now, and I've always wanted to play with the idea of these two people wandering off without knowing where they're going, and not caring that they'll never get home. Whatever situation you want to put them in where that becomes the best option, or if you want to focus on the people they leave behind, or... really, no, whatever you want. Have fun.

Graceland (TV)
Characters: Johnny Tuturro, Paige Arkin, Dale Jakes

And here at the end is the only one I actually have real specifics for. That being: I want team things. My favorite part of Graceland, the part that I love even though I'm not the biggest crime show person, is the family dynamic of the team living in the house. The first epsiode hooked me as soon as they showed me the chore wheel. The domestic side of the agents living together is what I really love, so please show me more of that.

I listed these three specifically because what I don't want is another Briggs/Mike fic -- but if you want to throw Briggs, Mike, and Charlie into the fic as well, I will not complain. I don't see nearly enough Johnny, Paige and Dale love, though, and they're my favorites. I'll also take things set before Mike shows up, with the prior team in the house! Just -- team things. Preferably more centered on the non-fighting-crime aspects of their lives.

(And if you really want to go all out or have any interest in it.... I am really, really eager to see polyamory team shipping fic. So if you would like to throw as many of them in a relationship as possible, especially if you choose to focus on working out the specifics and realities of a relationship, I will glee, so hard.)
